Lesson 3: File Naming Essentials

In this class, I delved into the intricacies of file naming and organisation within Capture One.

As a DigiOp in Dublin, I emphasised the importance of proper file management for easy retrieval after a shoot. I guided the participants through the "Next Capture Naming" section in the tether panel, demonstrating how to customize file naming structures.

I shared my preference for a simple naming convention, using "Project 001" or "Bricklane 001" as examples. I explained how to modify the name token, remove unnecessary elements like dates, and switch from camera counter to digit counter for more control.

Throughout the lesson, I stressed the flexibility of Capture One's naming options and showed how to preview the file naming structure before capturing images.
